The information on locusts is
definitely worth a read and we can only hope the one's spotted in Victoria are random and will not devastate the lush
gardens in Melbourne.
The welcoming rains have seen gardens and plants looking their best,
although I must admit our grey water system worked well to keep most of our garden flourishing even before this winter/spring
rain.
We found our holidays a wonderful experience, not only the culture, plants but absorbing
the designs. Something we found in plentiful in Paris, yet the simple landscapes and sunsets were simply breathtaking
in their glory.
In Australia we certainly take the diversity of culture, and glorious scenery
for granted. In Cape Town we found similarity to Melbourne, with scenic diversity and weather.
Traveling with children again exposed us to their understanding of situations so different from ours, we all delighted
in the seeing some amazing wildlife action. Also had the pleasure of meeting lovely people and a opportunity
to build their 'bank of life experiences'!
We look forward to revamping more Childcare
centre gardens and creating magic that is enjoyed by both children and staff in 2011.
